Demeanor:

Babyface. Matt is young, enthusiastic and a real crowd-pleaser. In his younger days he had tendency for high-risk moves that sometimes led to lapses in judgement. In the years he’s been part of HWA in their “YouTube Era”, Matt has established himself as one of the top stars and a locker room leader amongst his peers. Nowadays, he tries to lead by example, picking his moments to test his limits and push his boundaries but not at the expense of the match result.

Entrance:

“Worlds Apart" by CFO$ starts to play throughout the arena as numerous strobes flash and the crowd comes to its feet in anticipation. A moment later and Matt Miller runs from behind the curtain onto the stage, a big smile on his face. He loosens up for a moment before cupping his hands around his mouth, leaning back and he yells "It's Miller Time" which the fans shout in unison with him. Matt then sprints to the ring, jumping effortlessly onto apron before he leaps acrobatically over the top rope into the ring. Matt ascends each turnbuckle individually and plays to the crowd before he gets ready to focus on the upcoming match and his music fades out.

Appearance:

Matt has a well-conditioned physique and wears short black tights with red flames across the back as well as matching-colored wrestling boots and knee pads. He also sports wrist bands that go up to just below his elbows. He is a very good-looking young man as well with bright blue eyes and short brown hair.

Wrestling Style:

High Flyer. Favorite moves inclide:  Hurricanrana, spinning headscissors, hesitation dropkick, dragon screw, enziguiri, shining wizard, facebuster, standing moonsault, standing shooting star press, spinning heel kick, 360 cross body, shooting star press, moonsault, frog splash, essentially anything that involves Matt leaving his feet or taking a risk.

Pre-Finisher:

“Millercanrana" (Matt hits a shooting star press from the top rope but instead of splashing his opponent, he expertly lands on their shoulders and hits them with a variation of the Hurricanrana (this is normally a set up for "Miller Time")

"Now You See Me" (Matt runs towards his opponent and literally runs up their upper body so that he is standing on their shoulders. He then propels himself into the air and kicks the opponent in the back of the head with an improvised hesitation dropkick)

Finisher:

“Irish Destroyer" (front flip piledriver ala Canadian Destroyer)

"Miller Time" (Matt climbs to the top rope, coaxes the crowd by shouting "It's Miller Time!" and hits his opponent with a double rotation moonsault)

Background:

Matt Miller started professional wrestling for Irish Whip Wrestling when he was only 16 and immediately made a name for himself as a daredevil always taking high risks and exciting the crowd. Sensing that to make a real name for himself he knew he needed to come to America and did so as soon as he turned 18, earning a try-out in WWE for their NXT developmental brand. Matt enjoyed a small amount of success but due to budget cuts, he was released only six months later. Matt would go on to make a name for himself in other promotions such as Dragon Gate and Ring of Honor, even appearing in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament. It was then that a HWA talent scout noticed him performing his signature double rotation moonsault move from atop a 20-foot high ladder. Impressed at the young man's lack of fear and innovative style, he made the HWA top brass aware of him and after a couple of DVDs showing him in action, Matt was immediately signed to a deal with the HWA main roster. Unfortunately, due to the well-documented situation with HWA’s ownership and finances, Matt didn’t get the opportunity to properly showcase what he was capable of. However, Matt wanted to repay the faith HWA had shown him so, despite being offered numerous deals with WWE, Impact Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH back in Japan, so he opted to stick around in HWA. Matt would go on to be part of a core foundation of young HWA superstars that have thrived under the tutelage of the Parkers and now that HWA is back in the big leagues, Matt hopes to use this as the perfect platform to show the world what he and his friends are capable of.
